Looking for a fun, easy, and healthy snack that kids can make themselves? These Apple Slice "Donuts" are a delicious and creative twist on a classic treat! Instead of fried dough, we use crisp apple slices topped with yogurt, peanut butter, or chocolate—letting kids decorate their "donuts" however they like!

🛒 Ingredients (Makes 6-8 Apple Slice "Donuts")

  • 2 large apples (red or green)

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (or cream cheese)

  • ¼ cup peanut butter or almond butter (or sunflower butter for nut-free)

  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)

  • Toppings: Granola, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, shredded coconut, raisins, chopped nuts, or cinnamon

Step 1: Slice the Apples

Wash and core the apples using an apple corer.2️⃣ Slice the apples into ½-inch thick rounds (they should resemble donut shapes!).3️⃣ If you don’t have a corer, use a small cookie cutter or a knife to cut out the center.


Step 2: Choose Your Spread

Let kids spread a layer of yogurt, peanut butter, or chocolate over the apple slices. Mix honey into the yogurt for extra sweetness if desired.


Step 3: Add Fun Toppings!

Let kids sprinkle on their favorite toppings—granola, chocolate chips, sprinkles, or nuts. For a cinnamon sugar twist, mix a little cinnamon with honey and drizzle it on top.


Step 4: Enjoy!

Serve immediately for a crisp and fresh snack. If packing for later, brush apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
